Afeni Shakur, mother of rap legend Tupac Shakur, died late Monday night … possibly from a heart attack..
Afeni, who was the subject of one of his most iconic songs, was a philanthropist, founding and running the Tupac Amaru Shakur Foundation after her son’s death.

She was the subject of his 1995 song “Dear Mama,” in which Tupac detailed his childhood struggles and respect for his mother.
