The life of a celebrity might seem to be amazing but hackers have proved that it can quickly turn into a nightmare.
But it could be so much worse…
When Hollywood golden girl Jennifer Lawrence’s privacy was viciously invaded by hackers who stole intimate pictures of her and shared them online, the world woke up to how dangerous online crime can be.
Earlier this month a man reached a plea deal with prosecutors over illegally accessing the images.
J-Law and the other victims of the so-called Fappening quickly fought back by calling in the FBI in an attempt to expose the secretive hackers.
Actress Gabriel Union called in the Federal Bureau of Investigation to hunt down those who posted her nude photos on internet messageboard 4chan.
Rihanna, Krysten Ritter, Hayden Panettiere and Vanessa Hudgens were also high profile alleged victims.
While there is no suggestion these images have been hacked – or even if they exist at all – screenshots and pictures of many famous men have appeared on the account’s timeline.
