Former president Jonathan's ADC states his own part in N10b present for PDP boss

Ex President Goodluck Jonathan’s confined ex-Aide-de-Camp (ADC) Col. Ojogbane Adegbe has passed the buck on the N10billion present for Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) delegates.

He has told the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to ask Dr. Jonathan’s previous Special Assistant on Domestic Affairs, Waripamowei Dudafa to account for the money, a source said yesterday.

The ADC said when the bags containing the money were brought as messages for the President, he simply gave them over to Dudafa.

He said military law precludes him from opening any message implied for the President, unless generally coordinated.

Additionally, one of the Army officers being addressed over the $2.1 billion arms buy outrage, Col. N. Ashinze , the previous Special Military Assistant to the ex-NSA, Col. Sambo Dasuki (retd.), is stranded as he couldn’t continue in his new posting as the country’s Military Attache to the Nigerian Embassy in Germany.

In spite of the fact that Col. Ashinze has been discharged from EFCC authority and confined to the Officers Mess, there was nervousness yesterday that he may be dropped from the outside mission.

The source said: “The ADC has talked with agents. He said when the bags containing the N10billion were brought as messages for the ex-President, he didn’t open them yet he gave over the things to SA Domestic Affairs.

“He said as ADC, the military law prohibits him from opening any message implied for the President, unless ask by the C-I-C.

“Along these lines, it is just the SA Domestic Affairs, who has sneaked out of the nation, who should give the rundown of recipients. This is the status of the case.

“In the event that Dudafa does not show up, we might proclaim him needed regarding the N10billion money or look for the court’s authorization to join his property.

Col. Dasuki said he gave over the N10billion given to the agents to Dudafa and the ADC.

The ex-NSA opened up in his Statement of Witness/Accused Person which has been recorded in the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory(FCT)

He said: “That I am mindful in November, I can’t recollect the definite date. My office asked for the CBN to trade N10billion from the record of the Office of the National Security Adviser domiciled in CBN.

“The cash was for agents that went to the designation tradition for the PDP presidential selection. The cash was paid and sent to Hon. Dudafa(SSAP Household) and ADC(C-I-C) for circulation on the guideline of the President.”

On Col. Ashinze, a source said: “As such, nothing has been found against the said officer or else EFCC would in any case be keeping him.

“He is stranded at the Officers Mess. We don’t know regardless of whether the EFCC will utilize him as a witness.”
