Ex-NBA star Rasual Butler and wife,Leah LaBelle killed in Car Crash

Former NBA player Rasual Butler and wife, Leah LaBelle,lost their lives after a car crash in Studio City, CAlifornia on Wednesday early Morning,TMZ Sports report.

The singer who appeared on “American Idol”was an R&B singer who was signed to Epic Records. She placed 12th on the 3rd Season of “American Idol” back in 2004.

According to source, Butler lost control of his Range Rover around 2AM, skidded and struck a parking meter before crashing into a wall.

According to LAPD spokesman who told KTLA that A witness observed the vehicle driving at a high rate of speed but told police that no other cars appeared to be on the road at the time, [LAPD Capt. Andy] Neiman,” KTLA reported. “Based on the witness account, investigators do not believe the SUV was involved in an illegal street race,” the station reported, citing Neiman.

Butler had a long NBA career after an impressive run at La Salle where he was a 2-time First Team All-Atlantic 10 Player. He’s a member of the La Salle Hall of Athletics released a statement Wednesday, saying Butler “will long be remembered not only for his accomplishments on the court, but for his vibrant personality, positive outlook and the compassion he had for everyone around him.

”He was “a great teammate, a positive member of the community and a consummate professional” who will be “missed throughout the entire NBA family.”Washington Wizards said.

Wizards forward Otto Porter Jr said,“He’s a wonderful person,” “Always in a positive mood, giving advice. True professional on and off the court.
