Jesu Oyingbo’s son Arrested and arraigned for ‘rape, kidnapping, fraud of 14-Year-Old girl

The sons of the late self-proclaimed messiah Jesu Oyingbo, Adebola Odumosu has been arrested and arraigned by the police for allegedly defiling a teenager before a Yaba Magistrates’ Court on four counts of defilement, obtaining money under false pretenses, threat to life and violence yesterday.

His arraignment followed a petition to the police from his estranged lover, Folashade Olatunji, whose teenage niece he allegedly raped, impregnated on two occasions and made to undergo an abortion.

Odumosu pleaded not guilty to the charges and was granted N1,000,000 bail with two sureties in like-sum by Magistrate O.G. Oghre.

The Magistrate ordered that his sureties must provide evidence of three years tax clearance, which must be verified.

She directed that the case file be duplicated to the Director, Public Prosecution (DPP) for advice.

It was gathered that trouble started for Odumosu last week after he allegedly leaked the information of the crime he committed some years ago to a United Kingdom based blogger.

He was said to have given the information to the blogger in order to spite Olatunji, a business rival to the woman he leaked the information to.

Odumosu was also alleged to have leaked nude pictures of Olatunji to the rival, who allegedly shared them on her social media page.

A police source said Odumosu allegedly committed the offence at Alakuko, when the victim was 14-year-old.

Aside defiling her, it was gathered that he procured at least two abortions for the teenager before his lover’s family knew he was having unlawful intercourse with the victim.

It was gathered that both families resolved to sweep the crime under carpet to save the teenager from stigmatisation, an agreement Odumosu allegedly broke after his relationship with Folashade failed.

He was said to have resorted to blackmailing Folashade and extorting her. It was gathered that the suspect allegedly held the victim’s 87-year-old grandmother hostage at a flat rented by Folashade in Lagos and threatened to keep her locked up unless certain amount of money was paid.
